It is day 6 of #BridesmaidSweating and I had a work trip to Hot Springs! Which was really awesome! I absolutely had a great time, but the only downside is that I didn’t really get to drink as much water as I would like and thinking about eating healthy is not something I want to do on a work trip.
So what do you do in these kinds of situations. Cause we all know life happens, and you just want to sit at home on the couch in your fat pants and stuff your face. Or maybe you’re in a really neat part of the country and you just want to have fun! Well today was definitely the latter for me. I was in another town and I knew I didn’t really want to stick to my healthy eating. However, I knew I needed to.
The question is, what was I going to do to enjoy my trip and still have a healthy day? Well this is what I did.
My coworker and I left for our floral convention around 6am this morning. What I had from breakfast was a cutie, bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and coffee. When we got to the convention I made sure to have some water to drink on the way and I almost finished my entire bottle.
When lunch time rolled around there was a ton of tasty options to choose from like loaded waffle fries, corn dogs, and chicken strip basket. Then there were two pretty healthy options which were chicken salad sandwich and a chicken wrap. I SO badly wanted that tasty chicken strip baskets with waffle fries, but I knew if I wanted something really great for supper I best go with the healthy option. That’s what I did. I got myself a chicken salad sandwich with a side of fruit and water. I did try one of my coworker’s waffle fries and it was DELICIOUS! I’m going to also add that I didn’t snack on this trip either. So that helped me kind of keep my calorie count down. (I don’t keep track of calories but I kind of watch it).
After watching a really great show of body floral designs, it was getting close to supper time! Man, was I excited! We all went out to this really great German restaurant named, Steinbaus Keller. I had schnitzel with a really great cheese sauce, potato pancake, and fried potatoes. Let me tell you it was some FANTASTIC food!
I y’all all what I ate because you may be going on a trip or life may happen and it can feel like you want to just forget about eating healthy. Well you don’t have to. You can still have a little fun and still keep on track with your healthy lifestyle. You shouldn’t feel bad cause you want to try the new pizza restaurant. Just keep in mind how much you intake!
Today, was a great day for me! I ate some great food and surprisingly with all the walking we did around the convention I met my activity goals!
So do let one trip or hiccup in life keep you from your goals!
